THE CHOKE - CHRIS FOWLES (2017)

Written by Geoff Gedroyc and directed by Chris Fowles, The Choke is a dramatic short film about a young male dancer, Simi, battling his inability to perform a violent move on his co-star, Alana, with whom he is infatuated. His choreographer is pushing him to surrender to the violence of the act but Simi has always struggled to assert his masculinity. However, as he becomes more jealous of the other men in Alana’s life, he develops a willingness to perform the move and give the audience exactly what they want.
