UNDRESING MY MOTHER - KEN WADROP (2004)

Undressing My Mother by Irishman Ken Wadrop won at the Sundance Film Festival in 2005. It is a loving and bare portrait of his mother, a farmer's wife for 44 years. It is a documentary full of beautiful images. Wadrop's mother, unashamed and proud of a body society would deem to be unattractive, explains that her late husband (and therefore the director's father) made her feel sexy inside and that is all that matters in her world. The intimacy comes not from the images but the earnestness and love in her words. If you like Undressing My Mother rate it and share it!
