THE BOHO'S LAMENT - DUSTIN COHEN (2018)

Directed by former competition winner, Dustin Cohen, The Boho's Lament is a poetic non-fiction film bemoaning the loss of the Bohemian subculture from New York's East Village. Bohemians (named after the Bohemia region in the Czech Republic) are those people who live "unconventional" lifestyles - usually in the company of others - while in musical, artistic or literary pursuits. Phillip Giambri is one such Boho and, after hearing him perform his poem of the same name, Dustin asked the long-serving Bohemian if they could collaborate to bring the poem to life. Thus the film serves as both a tribute to Phillip and a celebration of the New York City he once knew. If you like the short film, The Boho's Lament, by Dustin Cohen be sure to rate it and share it.
