SIX SHOOTER - MARTIN MCDONAGH (2004)

Written and directed by feature film director Martin McDonagh, Six Shooter had been nominated for the BAFTA short film award in 2005 before winning the Oscar in 2006. Six Shooter is a black comedy set mostly on a train in Ireland, with many of the travellers returning from a hospital. A husband (Brendon Gleeson) is returning home after his wife has died and discovers that the cocky young man (RĂșaidhrĂ­ Conroy) sitting opposite him has just lost his mother.
