PHONE BOX - ALAN POWELL (2014)

Written by Angelo Eidse and directed by Alan Powell, Phone Box was jointly awarded the Best Cinematography prize by Robert Brinkmann in the 10th FILMSshort competition. Warhol, an overall winner, was also commended. Phone Box is a drama centred around a London phone box - the type tourists have their photos taken inside - and the myriad characters who have to use it in the age of cell phones. It is beautifully acted and the way it is filmed means the viewer is drawn into the characters' lives in what might have otherwise been a rather mundane location. It also won various awards on the short film festival circuit. If you like Phone Box by Alan Powell be sure to rate it and share it. If you have your own short film you would like to send to the site please check out the submissions page.
