IT'S A DATE - ZACHERY ZEZIMA (2016)

Written and directed by Zachary Zezima and based on a true story, It's A Date is one of those animations that gains a lot of festival buzz - partly through its promotion on Vimeo - but does not have a whole lot of story to it. A young couple are meeting on a blind date, having apparently met online, and it is as awkward as most blind dates; but it gets even more awkward when the young man starts talking about being an alien who spends most of his time trying to reconnect with his alien ancestors.
